Live in Belgium
If you are looking for a place to spend a part of your life in European style, then the best is in Belgium. The style of living is really human, because everything here is made by people and for people.
What can approve this fact? First of all, that here all shops and cafes usually don’t have any timetables, their curriculums depend on a wish of their owner. Most of them are open till 11p.m., but as an exception, they can close at 5a.m.; it’s a normal thing there. Secondly, banks here are open from 8a.m. till 5p.m. without interval for a lunch. What is more, there is no time limit for shopping. You can spend your money always, but if a shop is open for 24hours per day, there must be a sign like nachtwinkel or magasin de nuit.
Living here is much cheaper than living in any other European country. You don’t have to pay tips, it’s obligatory only in hotels, but usually bill includes price for service. But there is one big negative side for clubbers; cigarettes and alcohol are too expensive there. It looks like political thing, like everything is cheap, except products, which reduce people’s life.
Besides, the government takes care of families. There are other propositions for small kids in restaurants, food is cheaper. The transport for children is free till the age of 12. There are some programs, which help young people financially and pay money for small families. You can even get special offers in the bank, like credit for a lower percent of interest.
To live cheaper, you can rent a hostel or hospitality house. It will depend on the living conditions you want. Everything more will be more expensive.
Belgium is really cheap to live in, but I want to repeat one important thing. Here everything depends on your supply and demand.
